WriteForm is a comprehensive academic-writing SaaS platform built for students and researchers who spend more time fighting formatting than actually writing. It automates formatting, citations, and references, enforcing strict academic standards like APA 7th Edition automatically as the user writes, so manual formatting simply disappears.
The platform scales from short essays all the way to doctoral dissertations, offering pre-built structured frameworks, smart section-by-section guidance, secure cloud auto-saving, and submission-ready PDF exports.

Tech & Architecture
A Next.js + React + TypeScript front end delivers a fast, distraction-free writing surface, with a deeply integrated rich text editor engineered to enforce formatting rules without getting in the writer's way. A Node.js backend handles document processing, citation logic, and PDF generation, with PostgreSQL and Prisma for durable document storage and auto-save.
The whole platform runs on AWS cloud infrastructure, sized to keep large documents (and long dissertations) responsive.
Our Role
DevsUnit delivered WriteForm as a full-stack SaaS build: product engineering, the Next.js front end, the Node.js backend, the rich-text and formatting engine, and AWS cloud infrastructure. The result is a polished platform that turns academic formatting from a chore into something that just happens in the background.
